Anti-Protocadherin-1 (PCDH1 or PCDH42) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Protocadherin-1 is a cadherin protein encoded by the PCDH1 gene in human. Protocadherin-1 belongs to the protocadherin subfamily, which is a membrane protein found at cell-cell boundaries. Protocadherin-1 protein includes an extracelllular domain, containing 7 cadherin-like motifs, a transmembrane domain and a C-terminal cytoplasmic domain. Protocadherin-1 is involved in neural cell adhesion, suggesting a role in neural development.
