Anti-SCN5A (Nav1.5) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and recommended for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Nav1.5, also known as sodium voltage-gated channel alpha subunit 5 (SCN5A), is a protein that is encoded by the SCN5A gene in human. Nav channels function in the generation and propagation of action potentials in neurons. Nav1.5 is also found in cardiac muscle and is responsible for the initial upstroke of the action potential in an electrocardiogram. Defects in this gene are a cause of long QT syndrome type 3 (LQT3), an autosomal dominant cardiac disease.
