Anti-STK3 (MST2) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and can be used for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Serine/threonine kinase 3 (STK3), also known as MST2, is encoded by the STK3 gene in human. STK3/MST2 was first identified as a kinase that resembles budding yeast Ste20 and later as a kinase that is activated by the proapoptotic agents straurosporine and FAS ligand. STK3/MST2 is part of the Hippo signaling pathway. The Hippo signaling pathway comprises of a kinase cascade wherein MST1/2 phosphorylates and activates LATS1/2, which in turn phosphorylates but inactivates YAP and WWTR1/TAZ. Phosphorylation of YAP1 by LATS1/2 inhibits its translocation into the nucleus to regulate cellular genes important for cell proliferation, cell death, and cell migration.
