Anti-Trpm5 antibody is validated on mouse tissue and can be used for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent tissues.
Transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily M member 5 (Trpm5) is a non-selective cation channel protein that is encoded by the TRPM5 gene in human. Trpm5 permeates Na+, K+, and Cs+ ions equally well, but not Ca2+ ions. Trpm5 is highly temperature-sensitive, and when activated by heat the channel shows a steep increase of inward currents at temperatures between 15 and 35 degrees Celsius. Trpm5 is expressed by sensory neurons, neuroepithelial cells in the taste buds, and beta-cells in the pancreas.
