Anti-YAP (YAP1) antibody is validated on mouse tissue and can be used for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Yes1 associated transcriptional regulator (YAP1 or YAP) is encoded by the YAP1 gene in human. YAP is a transcriptional factor of the Hippo signaling pathway which is involved in tissue development, growth, repair, and homeostasis. The Hippo signaling pathway comprises of a kinase cascade wherein MST1/2 phosphorylates and activates LATS1/2, which in turn phosphorylates but inactivates YAP and WWTR1/TAZ. Phosphorylation of YAP1 by LATS1/2 inhibits its translocation into the nucleus to regulate cellular genes important for cell proliferation, cell death, and cell migration.
