Anti-Trpv5 antibody is validated on mouse tissue and can be used for immunofluorescence labeling, IHC, or western blot of materials from rodent and human tissues.
Transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 5 (Trpv5) is a calcium channel protein that is encoded by the TRPV5 gene in human. Trpv5 protein consists in six transmembrane domains, six ANK repeats and an N-linked glycosylation site in the extracellular loop.
Trpv5 is highly expressed by the epithelium in the kidney and the intestine, where it plays an important role in the absorption of Ca2+. Genetic deletion of TRPV5 in mice leads to Ca2+ loss in the urine, reduction in bone mineral density and secondary hyperparathyroidism.
